Our Client is a leading global hydraulic pipe and fittings manufacturer with 2 legal entities in Germany which are both growing. They are based in Herne (Dortmund) with branches in Nurnberg, Wiehl, Hamburg and the Netherlands and the other based at Etlingen near Karlsruhe. Total revenues of €57million.
The subsidiary this person will be working in cut and fit around 5000 tubes per day (70% to order, 30% for stock) for annual revenues of around €24 million. The ideal candidate will have had experience in high-volume, low-tech manufacturing or assembly processes. Ideal industries include hydraulic systems or fluid movement including pumps, motors, valves, actuators, reservoirs, pressure/level/temperature measurement & control systems or other relevant component.
The Operations Manager will oversee the entire manufacturing process and ensures the assembly process adheres to policies and procedures. They will require an eye for detail and will need to be a natural problem solver. He/she will be responsible for handling the cost efficiency, quality and safety throughout the manufacturing process. As the revenues of the business are growing, this person will find effective ways of maintaining cost levels by constantly looking for ways to streamline processes
Duties will include planning, discussing and completing reports about the production and the staff who he will ensure follow company and government policies and procedures, while assembling quality finished products. They will set establish production goals, monitor performance and initiates corrective action on output rates, labour costs, scrap, quality levels.
