Originally from Italy, our client is one of the top manufacturers within the pasta sector, focusing on high quality and standards.
Managing of the current business, searching for and developing new customers and the appropriate organisation of the territory, ensures the realisation of the objectives and the sales budget within the Foodservice and Retailer channels for the brand as much as for Private Label.
- Will work in the sales function and report directly to the EMEA management and will manage the following activities:
- Direct management of Private Label customers;
- Direct management of negotiations for the Retail customers and for Food Service customers;
- Development of new customers in the Retail and Food Service channels;
- Appropriate organisation of the German territory also through the search for sales agents;
- Head of the income statement by channel / customer;
- Verification of sales trends and forecasts of relative volumes in the short / medium term, adapting strategy accordingly;
- Active participation in the definition of the budget;
- Direct communication with the Head Office functions for the correct implementation of the projects;
The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics:
- Degree in economics or equivalent cultural level;
- Previous 6/8 years’ experience in similar roles in companies operating in the consumer goods sector preferably premium and extra premium food segment;
- Excellent knowledge of the German market structure;
- German mother tongue and excellent knowledge of English. Any knowledge of other languages, such as Italian or French is a plus;
- Excellent ability to understand and manage income statements;
- Previous experience of developing sales of new brands through the development of new channels / customers;
- Availability for frequent travel throughout the country and to Italy;
- Ability to work independently;
- Comprehensive interpersonal and communication skills, team working, flexibility and problem solving complete the profile;
