Our client is a well-established management consultancy. They are looking for a Consultant to join their team of high calibre project and programme management specialists. Currently working on a disruptive, strategic digital role-out for one of the world’s largest insurers, the team is seeking a self-starter with the ability to drive actions through a complex organisation.
— MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES —
- Assisting with the design and development of content for programme management or project initiatives for a Financial Services client
- Developing plans and managing critical paths through understanding the inter-dependencies between work-streams
- Co-ordinating plans across work-streams
- Progress reporting, risk management and financial controls in relation to the programme or programme or project initiative
— REQUIRED SKILLS —
- Previous experience of managing and delivering projects, either working for a Financial Services institution, or for a consulting firm with experience of working with Financial Services clients
- Experience of assisting with the design and development of a programme or project initiative
- Development of project plans across work streams and management of critical paths
- Understanding and experience of project management methodology (e.g. PRINCE 2)
- Experience of having effectively managed dependencies in a project
- Progress reporting and risk management
- Preparation of programme financial reports as part of a PMO
- Ability to work independently and proactively anticipate next steps
- Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills
