Sainsbury’s and Jamie Oliver are ending their association in what the supermarket has called a decision agreed by both parties, after more than 11 years and 100 ads together.
The partnership comes to an end at the end of the year. Oliver’s swansong will be a Christmas campaign, details for which are being kept under wraps.

The Perfume Shop has signed up to be the official sponsor of ITV2’s new show following pop and reality star Peter Andre, which begins tomorrow (14 July)..
In ‘Peter Andre: Here 2 Help’, Andre and his team tour the country to solve people’s problems. For example, the first episode will show his efforts to enlist local people to help single mother Corinne strike a better work-life balance and get her two-year-old son’s behaviour under control.

Anna Crona, the marketing director of IKEA UK & Ireland, is leaving after 25 years at the furniture retailer.
Crona will depart at the end of August but has not elaborated on her next move, other than to say she is ‘pursuing a new career’. The retailer plans to replace Crona, but in the interim the role will be covered by Martin Hansson, IKEA UK’s retail manager.

Ogilvy PR has promoted Stuart Smith, global corporate practice MD, to interim regional CEO of its Europe, Middle East and Africa business as the search begins to find a permanent leader.

IPC Media has appointed Jhan Rushton as advertising director for its fashion and beauty magazine, InStyle.
Rushton, who takes up his post with immediate effect, joins the publisher from rival Hachette Filipacchi, where he was head of promotions.
He replaces Lewis Tucker, who has moved to Wales to set up his own business a little more than two years after joining IPC as the ad director of InStyle from GQ magazine.


The private equity firm said Du Chai will join the firm as m anaging d irector and a member of the investment team. Du spent the past ten years as managing director – private investments & real assets at Northwestern University.


The asset management firm said it appointed Marco Avanzo Barbieri as senior vice-president of Italian distribution. Barbieri was previously a sales and client service executive at Western Asset Management.


The exchange operator said it appointed Michel Finzi as senior vice-president and head of U.S. equities of Nasdaq OMX transaction services.


British insurer Aviva’s asset management arm said it appointed Fabio Ferra and Karsten-Dirk Steffens as business development directors to develop the company’s Swiss distribution network.


A unit of Royal Bank of Canada said it appointed Neena Shah and James Hogan as directors responsible for serving Middle East-based clients, reporting to Philip Harris, head of private client wealth management, RBC Wealth Management UK.


The wealth management company appointed Ahmed Barakat as United Arab Emirates (UAE) market manager. Barakat will be based in Dubai, reporting to Tamer Rashad, head of Middle East, Merrill Lynch Wealth Management.

The investment company said it promoted Mark Wright as deputy manager of the CF Midas Balanced Growth Fund.


The wealth advisers said it appointed Gerald Corbett as a non-executive director. Gerald currently chairs Britvic Plc and Moneysupermarket.com Plc and sits on the non-executive board of Numis Securities Plc.
