Partners Andrews Aldridge has poached CMW London’s managing director, Martin Nieri, to become its new chief executive.

Nieri will join PAA in the autumn to replace the founder, Phil Andrews. The appointment will allow Andrews to concentrate full-time on his role as the chief operating officer for Engine Group in the UK, a position he took on in January last year.

 

The Archibald Ingall Stretton founding partner Steve Stretton is restructuring the agency and streamlining its board.

The revised structure will feature just three other board directors: the commercial director, Steve Watford; the strategy director, Sarah Stratford, and the creative director, Geoff Gower. They will report to Stretton, who will take on an international role and focus on new business.

 

OMD Group UK has hired Paul Wright, the former Sky Digital Media director of sales, as chief digital officer.

Wright, who will lead digital across OMD UK and Manning Gottlieb OMD, takes over from Matt Simpson, who has been promoted to the role of head of digital, Omnicom Media Group, EMEA.

 

CBS Outdoor has parted company with its managing director Mike Moran and commercial director Mark Chippendale, and appointed commercial director Jason Cotterrell country director for the UK.

Moran joined CBS Outdoor as managing director in February last year, following the departure of former managing director of sales and marketing Tim Bleakley in October 2009. Chippendale joined as commercial director in August 2010.

 

Simon Kelner has stepped down as editor of The Independent and its 20p sibling i today to be replaced by the London Evening Standard’s Chris Blackhurst.

Kelner, who has been with the newspaper for 13 years and played a pivotal part in its market leading move from broadsheet to tabloid, will remain as editor-in-chief but will have no day-to day involvement with the papers.

 

BANK OF SINGAPORE

Bank of Singapore appointed Richard Jerram, an industry veteran, as its chief economist. In his last-held position, he was the head of Asian economics at Macquarie Capital Securities.

It also appointed Ms Koh Siew Kim as an investment counsellor. Kim was previously with HSBC Private Bank (Suisse) SA, Hong Kong, where she was a senior director of investment counselling since 2009.

BNP PARIBAS INVESTMENT PARTNERS (BNPP IP)

The company appointed Helena Viñes Fiestas as co-head of SRI research. Prior to joining BNP Paribas Investment Partners, Helena was Policy Adviser to the Private Sector team of Oxfam (Oxford Committee for Famine Relief) which she joined in 2005.

RENAISSANCE CAPITAL

Renaissance Capital appointed Yonatan Gozdanker as Global Head of Equities. Gozdanker joined from Citigroup.

KPMG

KPMG appointed James Stewart OBE, as chairman of its global infrastructure practice. He was most recently chief executive of Infrastructure UK (IUK).

NCB Capital

Faysal Badran has been appointed Chief Investment Officer of NCB Capital. He was most recently Head of International Strategy & Expansion from NCB’s Office of the Chief Financial Officer and in the International Sector.

UNICREDIT

Francesco Salvatori will join as Head of Markets for UniCredit Bank AG Milan Branch. Before joining UniCredit, Francesco was Head of Financial Institutional Sales at Banca IMI(Intesa), covering all Financial Institutions in Europe and North America.

CB Richard Ellis (CBRE)

Umer Ahmad was appointed head of infrastructure within its government & infrastructure team. He joins CBRE from Barclays where he was a director in the infrastructure & structured project finance team.
