Unilever-owned Persil has hired celebrity mum, Kirstie Allsopp, to front its TV ads for its detergent product, Small & Mighty.
Small & Mighty was rolled out in 2007, marking Unilever’s biggest laundry launch for 10 years. The product is a concentrated version of its Persil brand.

R/GA has poached Ogilvy & Mather head of planning EMEA, Russell Davies, after less than a year in the job, and made him head of planning of its London office.
Campaign columnist Davies, whose arrival at O&M was announced less than a year ago, will report to R/GA London vice-president and managing director Jim Moffatt and William Charnock, chief strategy officer.

The largest U.S. home funding source appointed Susan McFarland as chief financial officer. McFarland, who succeeds David Hisey, joins from Capital One Financial Corp.


The corporate and investment banking arm of RBC appointed Michael Rudd as a director to its fixed income platform in New York. Rudd joins from UBS.
