Virgin Media has appointed Jeff Dodds as its new executive director of brand and marketing communications.The appointment of Dodds, who has worked at Virgin for more than two years, follows the departure of Ashley Stockwell earlier this year.
IGN Entertainment, the News Corporation-owned publisher of IGN and AskMen, has appointed Michael Hand to the newly created role of head of consumer and lifestyle, as it moves to grow its UK commercial team.
Hand joins from The National Magazine Company, where he was has been head of digital for Men’s Health for five years.
Sarah Warby, the marketing director of Heineken UK, has left the brewer to “pursue a new challenge”.
Warby has been with Heineken UK for more than seven years and has held a variety of roles from Foster’s marketing manager to innovation director and, for the last three years, marketing director.
MEC, the WPP media agency, has appointed Emma Jones, Clear Channel Outdoor’s research and insight manager, to the position of training and tools and development director, replacing Emma Bertolaso.
In her new role, Jones will report to Stephan Bruneau, global director, analytics and insight at MEC, and she will be responsible for developing the agency’s training programme.
