Tennis player Andy Murray has teamed up with his racket sponsor, Head, to launch a viral encouraging his fans to interact with him during Wimbledon via Head’s Facebook page.
The viral, called ‘Get Closer’, is the first part of Head’s Facebook campaign and launches this week.

Hewlett-Packard (HP) has signed up award-winning British artist Plan B to front its new cinema and digital campaign, promoting its Beats audio technology.
The two-minute film, created by Drum, features the rapper and soul singer showing the audience around his studio, guiding them through elements of his track ‘She Said’, including the story, the instruments used and how it was written.

CDecaux, the outdoor media owner, has promoted Mark Bucknell to the newly created role of director of product planning. Bucknell, who was previously director of JCDecaux’s premium division Première, joins the sales management board, reporting directly to Spencer Berwin, managing director of sales at JCDecaux.

Engine Group’s Jez Groom is leaving the company to join Ogilvy & Mather London as strategic integration director.
Groom will join O&M’s senior management team, and will aim to drive the effectiveness of the agency’s planning offering, as well as helping to build on the behavioural economics agenda that has been set by the Ogilvy Group vice-chairman Rory Sutherland.

lbion London has hired Saatchi & Saatchi New York’s Sasha Orr as part of a management restructure. Orr joins the agency as a managing partner, and will be tasked with defining Albion’s culture and service offerings, as well as helping to oversee the agency’s key clients.

John Messum, the HMDG creative partner, is leaving to join 180 Amsterdam as a creative director. Messum will relocate to 180 Amsterdam to work on the agency’s global DHL account, reporting to the 180 executive creative director,Al Moseley, the former HMDG partner.

Marc Allera, Three UK’s sales and marketing director, is to step down after 10 years at the mobile operator. Allera will stay on until the end of 2011 as chief commercial officer to help his replacements in their new roles. Tom Malleschitz, currently marketing director at Three Austria, will be appointed UK marketing director, while Amanda Lambert, currenly sales director, will be promoted to a board role with responsibility for consumer and business sales.

The bank hired ex-Goldman Sachs banker Kazuma Naito and former Morgan Stanley banker Ken Kishimoto to boost its derivatives business in the fast growing Asia Pacific region, the Wall Street bank said in a statement.

Ian Fitzgerald, head of loan markets at has stepped down from his role, a spokesperson for the bank said on Friday.

CITIGROUP

The bank appointed Tigor M Siahaan as country head for Indonesia, following a torrid three months when a relationship manager was arrested for allegedly embezzling clients’ money and a card client died after he was questioned by debt collectors. [ID:nL3E7H90IB]

The bank appointed Tim Knoll as head of private wealth management, Russia. He joined Deutsche Bank’s private and business clients unit in 2002.

HSBC PRIVATE BANK

The bank named Sammy Shroff as head of foreign exchange and precious metals, Hong Kong, effective April 18. He was previously executive director of JP Morgan’s private bank in Asia, where he led the foreign exchange currencies and commodities team.

POLAR CAPITAL

The investment management company appointed Su Park to its international sales team. Park joins from Nomura International where she was head of European capital introductions.

SOCIETE GENERALE CORPORATE & INVESTMENT BANKING

The investment banking arm of Societe Generale said it appointed Luis Muñoz to the newly created role of head of distribution for Iberia within its Cross Asset Solutions business. Luis joins from Morgan Stanley and will be based in Madrid.

JEFFERIES & CO

The investment banker said it named Tim Sullivan and Harold DeRolph as managing directors in the firm’s investment grade corporate bond business. They will be based in New York.

SKAGEN FUNDS

The independently-owned specialist asset manager said it appointed Tim Gordon and Nick Henderson to support UK client relations.

GANNETT WELSH & KOTLER LLC

The manager of active equity and fixed income investment strategies named portfolio managers — Mary Kane and Jeffrey Thibault — as partners. The firm also named its director of private client services Jim McCarthy as principal.

AMERICAN EXPRESS CO

The lender said Josh Silverman will join as president of the U.S. consumer services business in early July.

AVIVA INVESTORS

British insurer Aviva’s asset management arm appointed Corrine Ng as real estate investment trust analyst for North America, based in New York.
