Marks & Spencer has poached Arcadia marketing director Alison Jones and appointed her brand director for general merchandise, a new role created by chief executive Marc Bolland.

Jones, who will report to M&S marketing director Steve Sharp, will work closely with head of merchandise Kate Bostock, overseeing marketing of M&S’s clothing and homeware.

JWT London has hired the Dare creative partner Jeremy Carr as a creative director.

Carr will join the agency later this year and work on various accounts, reporting directly to the executive creative director, Russell Ramsey.

 

STANDARD CHARTERED BANK

The bank appointed Michele Wee as global head of e-sales based in Singapore. Wee joins from Deutsche Bank where she was most recently head of e-FX and e-FI sales for Asia.

MOELIS & COMPANY

The global investment bank appointed Joseph Chow as a managing director in Asia. Previously, Chow was a managing partner with CJC Partners Inc, Beijing.

PRIVATE NATIONAL MORTGAGE ACCEPTANCE CO LLC

The firm named Doug Jones as its chief correspondent lending officer. Jones joins from Bank of America where he most recently served as the head of retail sales & institutional mortgage services for Bank of America Home Loans.

SEIZERT CAPITAL PARTNERS

It named Thomas Kenny and Cheryl Kotlarz as portfolio manager and chief compliance Officer respectively. Previously, Kenny was co-manager of several Munder Capital Management strategies and Kotlarz was chief compliance Officer and fixed income manager at Sigma Investment Counselors.

NEUBERGER BERMAN GROUP LLC

The company appointed Matt Pumo as senior vice-president of European consultant relations and UK institutional clients. Previously, Pumo was head of consultant relations & UK business development at Gartmore Investment Management Ltd.

DEBEVOISE & PLIMPTON LLP

The firm appointed Ethan James as a partner in the New York office and a member of the firm’s insurance industry, financial institutions and securities groups. James joins from the New York office of Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP.

JEFFERIES GROUP INC

The company appointed Sean George and Richard Roche as managing directors and senior traders in the firm’s Investment Grade Corporate Bond business. They are both based in New York.

CUSHMAN & WAKEFIELD

The real estate services firm named Curtis Magleby as senior managing director of capital markets and U.S. western region leader. Magleby joins from RBR Capital.

MERK INVESTMENTS LLC

The company named Emily Meyer as vice-president of sales. Previously, Meyer was senior regional investment consultant at Fidelity Investments Institutional Services.

DEUTSCHE SECURITIES INC

The securities arm of Deutsche Bank appointed Paul Wetzel as head of global banking. Wetzel is currently head of financial institutions mergers and acquisitions in the Americas at Deutsche Bank Securities in New York.

PICTET ASSET MANAGEMENT

The company appointed Lawrence Tse as head of distribution, effective June 1. Tse was most recently chief marketing officer at Allianz Global Investors.

RENAISSANCE CAPITAL

The investment bank appointed Bogdan Ciobotaru as head of financing for Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), the Middle East and Africa. He joins from Morgan Stanley where he was most recently executive director, Global Capital Markets.

EVOLUTION SECURITIES

The investment bank appointed Mark Wellesley-Wood as a director in corporate finance and head of Evolution’s Natural Resources team. He was most recently head of corporate finance at Ambrian Partners.

ROTHSCHILD PRIVATE BANKING

The company appointed Reinhard Krafft as CEO of Rothschild Vermögensverwaltungs-GmbH, its German wealth management arm, based in Frankfurt. Krafft is the founder and owner of Jupiter Group, Luxembourg, which specialises in the development and financing of commercial US and German real estate projects.
