Strauss-Kahn quits IMF over charges.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn has resigned from his post as the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), it was confirmed today.

Strauss-Kahn, 62, who is facing charges of allegedly sexually assaulting a New York hotel maid, handed in a letter of resignation to the IMF board, the Fund said.

Trinity Mirror has hired former IGN international managing director Chris Ellis in the newly created role of managing director, digital, for its nationals division.

The company revealed it was recruiting for the role seven months ago, when it set up a new digital unit, led in the interim by publishing director Matt Kelly.

New Look’s chief marketing officer Nick Cross has left the company after less than six months in the role.

The former Selfridges marketing director, who joined the beleaguered retailer in November, is the latest senior executive to exit. Cross will be replaced as CMO by marketing director Guy Lister, who has been promoted as a result of the departure.

PepsiCo has carried out a marketing reshuffle, shifting its Quaker Oats UK marketing director Hayley Stringfellow to the role of marketing director for Gatorade and sports nutrition UK and Ireland.

Stringfellow moves from her role as marketing director at Quaker and Snack A Jacks. There, she was responsible for propelling the Oat So Simple porridge range to become the UK’s fifth-biggest cereal brand, most recently launching Quaker Oat So Simple Pots.

Lbi has appointed Kristin Ruby, global director for JWT, as client partner.

Ruby replaces Laurent Ezekiel, who takes on the new role of worldwide client services director for LBi.

An Abundance, the direct marketing start-up founded by Chris Ward and Amanda Phillips, has appointed Simon Darwell-Taylor as its creative partner.

Darwell-Taylor, Arc Worldwide’s former executive creative director, is taking an undisclosed stake in the agency.

Ged Weston, the national sales director at outdoor media owner JCDecaux, has resigned from the company to take the summer off and pursue other opportunities.

Weston, who has spent a combined eleven and a half years at JCDecaux and its predecessors Titan Outdoor and Maiden Outdoor, expects to return to the media industry later this year.

MF GLOBAL HOLDINGS

The brokerage, led by former Goldman Sachs Chief Executive Jon Corzine, has appointed James Kemp as global head of Foreign Exchange, effective immediately. Previously, Kemp was a co-founder and partner at Cogence Capital LLC, a quantitative foreign exchange trading company.

CREDIT SUISSE

The Swiss bank has named Mumtaz Kazmi as head of its mergers and acquisitions operations in the Middle East and North Africa, a document showed.

ARTEMIS

The fund house said Mark Page and Laurent Millet will be joining them from Liverpool Victoria Asset Management in early September.

BLUEFIN CORPORATE CONSULTING

The advisory services firm appointed Robert Mitchell as client relationship manager. Mitchell joins from Mercer where he was working as a client service adviser.

DELOITTE

The business advisory firm named Helen Gripton to its corporate security team.

SCHRODERS PLC

The investment manager said it strengthened its FUM Multi-Asset business with the appointment of Aymeric Forest. Forest joins from BBVA Wholesale Banking & Asset Management, where he was global head of Global Investment Solutions.
