Mindshare Worldwide has appointed Gary Armitage to the position of European head of Business Planning.
Armitage will take on the newly created role, leading a central team of business planners working across Mindshare’s global Unilever, Rolex, Kraft, Nike, Diesel and HSBC businesses.
Trinity Mirror has hired former IGN international managing director Chris Ellis in the newly created role of managing director, digital, for its nationals division.
He will report to Marco Rimini, worldwide head of Business Planning, and will also support the network’s community of regional business planners working in 22 European offices. He will be based in Mindshare’s London office.
PepsiCo has carried out a marketing reshuffle, shifting its Quaker Oats UK marketing director Hayley Stringfellow to the role of marketing director for Gatorade and sports nutrition UK and Ireland.
Stringfellow moves from her role as marketing director at Quaker and Snack A Jacks. There, she was responsible for propelling the Oat So Simple porridge range to become the UK’s fifth-biggest cereal brand, most recently launching Quaker Oat So Simple Pots.
New Look’s chief marketing officer Nick Cross has left the company after less than six months in the role.
The former Selfridges marketing director, who joined the beleaguered retailer in November, is the latest senior executive to exit. Cross will be replaced as CMO by marketing director Guy Lister, who has been promoted as a result of the departure.
BTIG LLC
The brokerage and fund services company said it appointed Michael Noonan and Drew Rymer. Both join BTIG’s High Yield and Distressed Fixed Income Sales group in New York.
While Noonan joins BTIG as a managing director, Rymer has been appointed as a vice president.
BNY Mellon Wealth Management
The wealth management arm of BNY Mellon appointed Myriam Soto and Douglas Schaenen.
Soto has been appointed managing director, International Wealth Advisory Services (IWAS). Schaenen has been appointed managing director and regional head for International Wealth Management in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Suffolk Bancorp
The holding company of Suffolk County National Bank (SCNB)said it appointed Karen Hamilton as executive vice president of Suffolk Bancorp, and executive vice ppresident and chief lending officer of SCNB.
Matthews International Capital Management LLC
The investment management firm appointed David Hartley as the firm’s chief financial officer.
Barclays Capital
The investment banking arm of Barclays said it appointed Karan Madan as Latin America Regional Head and Head of Latin America FICC Trading.
Allied Irish Banks
As part of a management reshuffle, Chief Financial Officer Bernard Byrne will become director of personal and business banking. Byrne will be replaced on an interim basis by Paul Stanley, currently group financial controller.
Jerry McCrohan, AIB’s head of capital markets, takes over as director of corporate and institutional and commercial banking, while Peter Spratt, a partner at auditors PriceWatherhouseCoopers, becomes head of the non-core unit.
PwC director Stephen Bell becomes acting chief risk officer, while Joe O’Connor continues as chief credit officer.
HSBC
The bank appointed Mark Watkinson as a senior executive vice president and head of Commercial Banking for North America, based in New York City.
CITIGROUP INC
The bank has hired Kenneth Leung as managing director in the China investment banking team, its second senior hire for the China team in the past two months, according to an internal memo.
