News International (NI) is poised to restructure its 50-strong marketing department to allow greater collaboration across its newspaper brands.
The proposals include the appointment of an overall day-to-day marketing director across The Sun, News of the World, Times and Sunday Times brands who would report directly to chief marketing officer Katie Vanneck-Smith.
Aegis Media has appointed former PHDiq head John Murray as president of the network’s Digital Action Group.
Murray will be based in London in the new digital post and report to Mark Cranmer, Aegis Media global executive director and chief executive of the Isobar digital network.
Media Week has expanded its editorial team with a new editor and deputy editor, who aim to take the brand to the next level with the launch of a number of new initiatives.
