AKQA’s chief creative officer Daniel Bonner and client services director William Lidstone, are leaving the agency to join Publicis-owned Razorfish. Bonner, who has been at the agency for 14 years, will join Razorfish in a similar role.

Draftfcb has promoted Sharon Jiggins from managing partner to the board position of managing director. Jiggins will take on the new role immediately and will continue to report to Draftfcb president Kate Howe. Jiggins has been at the agency for the past 12 years, leading several pieces of business, including the launch of Egg and the Post Office account.

Midland News Association (MNA), the publisher of Wolverhampton’s Express & Star, the country’s biggest paid-for regional daily, is set to axe around 90 staff. The MNA is an independent publisher whose titles include the Express & Star and Shropshire Star, along with a stable of paid-for weekly papers across the West Midlands and Shropshire area.

ASSICURAZIONI GENERALI SPA The Italian insurer agreed on the appointment of Gabriele Galateri di Genola as its new chairman replacing Cesare Geronzi.

DBS GROUP Southeast Asia’s biggest lender appointed Vijay Vashist to the bank’s global transaction services business in a newly-created role as group product head of open account trade. He joins from Standard Chartered Bank.

KPMG LLP The accountancy group appointed Stuart Westgate as director of its major project advisory. He was previously with the Nichols Group.

 COMMERZBANK CORPORATES & MARKETS The bank said it hired David Tavadian as the new head of emerging markets FIC sales. His key role will be to strengthen and expand the bank’s reach across Central Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
