Morgan Stanley has named Wei Christianson, the bank’s top China banker and William Strong as co-chief executives for Asia Pacific.
The appointments make Christianson the top female banker in the region in terms of title, and brings over Strong from the U.S., who heads its Midwestern operation there.

Barclays Wealth, the private banking arm of Barclays PLC , on Monday announced 12 director-level appointments in Singapore and Hong Kong.
The nine new hires in Singapore include Benjamin Yeo as head of research, economics and strategy for Asia and Eddie Tan as director for Singapore/Malaysia.
Yeo was formerly with Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp’s Bank of Singapore, while Tan came from JPMorgan Private Bank .
The three Hong Kong hires include Babara Yenson as director in the Hong Kong team and Joanna Ho as head of wealth advisory for North Asia.

Hearst has promoted Simon Horne, currently chief financial officer and general manager of NatMag, to the newly created role of CFO, general manager and senior vice-president, at Hearst Magazines International.

RBC CAPITAL MARKETS
The corporate and investment banking arm of Royal Bank of Canada  named Paul Brady as head of its Leveraged Finance Europe. Brady joined as a managing director in 2008.

CANADIAN IMPERIAL BANK OF COMMERCE
The company named Kevin Glass as chief financial officer and senior executive vice-president, replacing David Williamson. Glass has been with CIBC since January 2009.
It also named Richard Nesbitt senior executive vice- president (EVP) and group head, wholesale, international, technology and operations. It appointed David Williamson as senior EVP and group head, Retail and Business Banking and Victor Dodig senior EVP and group head, Wealth Management.

W.P. CAREY & CO LLC
The global investment company named Jeffrey Lefleur as managing director, European Investments.

ING GROEP NV
Dutch’s ING appointed Rodney Martin as chief executive officer of ING Insurance U.S.

COWEN GROUP
The diversified financial services firm said George Milstein and Chris Swindle joined the firm’s health care investment banking group. Milstein joins from Wedbush Pacific Growth and Swindle joins from Wedbush Pacific Growth Life Sciences.
