Our client is a Belgium based manufacturing company. Specialising in the production and distribution of bearings, their headquarters are situated in Brussels. Their mission is to grow by providing state-of-the-art bearings manufactured in the EU. They are proud to keep one of the largest quality-bearing stocks in Europe. They pride themselves on experienced multi-lingual, customer friendly, and always helpful staff to solve whatever problem or question the customer might have.

This role is for someone with an Entrepreneurial spirit. They are looking for someone who wants to take a small subsidiary and turn it into the large business. You will be the UK face of the business.


We are currently recruiting an Area Sales Manager based in the UK but additionally serving overseas English speaking markets. You will be tasked with developing and maintaining new clients in the industrial and automotive sectors as well as looking to build rapport with existing clients and generate an increase in sales by exploiting new opportunities with them. You are expected to focus on the presentation of added value the company gives to its clients.
Using your analytical skills and working with head office you will develop a business plan for the UK. Your task will be to maximise the return on investment of resources with a target based approach. Once certain price ranges have be determined, you will use your negotiation skills to work out the product price for each customer and create a win-win environment.
You will maintain client and order database allowing for seamless delivery. The identification of customer’s future requirements and prompt communication of this to head office for forecasting is paramount.
You will be responsible for problem solving any customer issues and escalating any supply chain problems. You are expected to inform Head Office of any issues in the market and advising on solutions and opportunities.
You will be the face of the company in the UK and as such you will need to look and act in the image of the company mission and vision with a friendly solutions based approach.


  • A track record of Sales Delivery with a manufacturer or distributor of industrial/ engineered products.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • An entrepreneurial attitude to grow and build the UK subsidiary.
  • Experience of building budgets and KPIs
  • An excellent knowledge of UK market dynamics with together with permission to work in the UK permanently
  • Experience of reporting of sales forecasts, market developments, competitor analysis and budgets
