Our Client is a world leader in engineered polymer solutions that seal, damp and protect critical applications in demanding environments. Its innovative solutions accelerate performance for customers in a sustainable way. From seals in your car to buoyancy in offshore oil & gas facilities,
They are now looking for a Sales and Product development Director to look after the engineered fabrics business in Europe.


Responsible for the commercialisation of Engineered Fabrics products, defining market policies and strategies related to the assigned territory in line with the strategy set by Global Sales and Marketing


  • Leads the development of medium term sales strategy across the territory, product development, market segments, portfolio of customer accounts and advise on policies related to pricing, product mix and brand portfolio, distribution and customer service
  • Propose, develop and execute new sales plans to ensure the organisation’s sales volume and profitability objectives are met
  • Oversee the execution of business development objectives, sales and communications programs and policies
  • Leads the staff of Sales and Product development functions for assigned territory
  • Responsible for sales forecast, budget organisation and for implementing sales excellence philosophy/tools
  • He/She will manage a team composed by 14 people (sales + product development)


  • Engineering or Chemistry University degree
  • Fluency in English and at least another language (Italian or German or French)
  • 10 years professional experience in engineered fabrics, mostly spent in sales, technical background
  • Customer oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Track record of business development
  • Adopt and contribute to Group best practices
  • Improve effectiveness of own sales force and increase coverage and detect new business opportunity (go to company who needs rubber engineered fabrics)
  • Proactive approach and result driven
  • Highly accountable, accessible and knowledgeable customer service orientation, accepting responsibilities and taking charge until an effective solution is delivered
  • Strong team leader
